"Day of Black Sun: reprise"

Oil on wood panel
44in x 24in (112cm x 61cm)

Done on the back panel of a wood pallet, this was a reimagining or reprise of an old piece “Day of Black Sun”. The tiger came from a stencil I made of a toy I’ve had for as long as I can remember, that means a lot to me. It is casted in resin and has a hypnotic depth to it.

The piece represents walking forward with your path, not knowing what to expect, and the various events and troubles along the way.
